This studio course furthers the development of drawing skills necessary to nurture conceptualization and visualization, as well as presentation processes essential to art and design professionals. Studio exercises, live model sessions, location drawing, and sketchbook assignments explore a variety of materials and techniques. Historical styles, techniques and goals from the Old Masters to contemporary drawing practice will be presented with critical dialog regarding the evolution of individual drawing skills. |

This course is a continuation of Graduate Drawing Studio. There will be further studio experience and investigation of drawing concepts and techniques with an emphasis on self-directed creative work. Students will be expected to complete an exhibition-quality work. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisite: ARTW 601 |
