Dr. Anu Raj is a clinical psychologist with special expertise in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Comprehensive Behavioral Interventions for Tics and Applied Behavior Analysis. Dr. Raj graduated with a Doctor of Psychology from Long Island University in 2002 and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine.
At the Riland Academic Health Care Center, Raj provides psychological treatment, conducts comprehensive evaluations. She is an instructor and supervisor for the Online Psychiatry rotation and is the course leader for Psych. content. She created and is the PI for the CARE4MEd Model- a preventive mental health screening model for medical students. Outside of her work at New York Tech, she is a LI representative to the Board of Regents with the Office of Professionals. She often presents at state and national level on topics of wellness, preventive care, mindfulness-based practices.
Prior to joining NYITCOM, Raj held roles in private practice and academic appointments at Long Island University’s Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program, where she continues to serve as an adjunct, and Adelphi University’s Derner Institute. She also holds a New York State Bilingual Certificate in Hindi.
