Bennett Futterman, M.D. was in private practice (orthopedic surgery) from 1984 through 2003. During those years, he was an assistant clinical professor of surgery at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and served as a clinical and basic science educator for the Peninsula Hospital Orthopedic Residency Consortium. After leaving private practice in 2003, he joined the faculty of NYITCOM, teaching gross anatomy and clinical skills in both the lecture and problem-based learning curricula. He is also a facilitator in the problem-based curriculum. Additionally, Futterman teaches gross anatomy and advanced medicine to New York Tech’s physical therapy students and gross anatomy to occupational therapy students.
