In addition to teaching courses in architecture and design, Carl Hauser maintains a studio on Long Island working with cultural and residential clientele. While working as a member of this multidisciplinary team, the studio recently completed an art gallery complex in the U.K. and a museum project in Germany. Previously working with several architectural firms in New York City, Hauser has specialized in corporate interiors with a strong basis in sustainable design. Hauser was an adjunct professor at the New York School of Interior Design for 18 years, achieved various industry design awards for his work, and been published locally and abroad.

Hauser also volunteers his services in educational and humanitarian efforts, most recently serving as an advisor to lead students in the design of solutions to rebuild housing affected by the 2010 Haiti earthquake. He also was a volunteer for a build site in West Africa for the design and construction of a secondary school addition.

Hauser received his master’s degree in architecture in housing research and development at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and a bachelor’s degree in architecture at the University of Arizona.
