Dawn Cieplensky, a 1987 graduate of NYITCOM, completed her internship at Peninsula Hospital Center, and then worked in urgent care settings and was a ward attending for adolescent cerebral palsy patients at Terrence Cardinal Cook Center. She later worked with Sheldon Sirota, D.O. at Wykoff Heights Hospital in surgery. Cieplensky completed the family practice residency at Long Beach Medical Center in 1992 (Board Certified in 1998) and served as its DME from 1992 to 1995.

During her OMM Residency with Hugh Ettlinger, D.O. in 1995-97, she became a member of the A Still-Sutherland Study Group (ASSSG) under the mentorship of Anne L. Wales, who was a student of William Garner Sutherland, the father of cranial osteopathy and a student of Andrew Taylor Still.

Cieplensky has been in private practice in New York City since 1997, specializing in traditional osteopathic medicine. She has been teaching at NYITCOM in the OMM lab since 2006.
