David Cirella specializes in information literacy, user-instruction, and the intersection of library collections, technology, and the needs of users. In his role as Emerging Technology Librarian, Cirella seeks to provide library users a maximum level of access to innovative technology resources and research techniques through library tutorials, workshops, and consultations. He serves as Library Liaison to the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences, where he focuses on subject-specific collection development and literature review instruction for students.
Cirella received his Master of Science in Computer Science from New York Tech and Master of Library Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University, where he also earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Media Studies.
