Dosha Cummins graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a biology degree from Millsaps College. She received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi and completed an ASHP Primary Care Pharmacy Practice residency at the University Medical Center. Cummins was part of the inaugural leadership team for the Arkansas campus. She oversees the operation of the anatomy lab and basic science research labs and serves on several College of Osteopathic Medicine committees. She is a faculty member for the student Congressional Health Policy Fellowship and is involved with the Delta Population Health Institute. She is a 2019 graduate of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine's (AACOM) Health Policy Fellowship program. Cummins is also an item writer for the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and the North American Pharmacy Licensure Exam (NAPLEX), as well as a member of the NAPLEX National Review Committee. She has also served as senior author of the Core Content Review of Family Medicine.

She has presented numerous lectures to regional and state medical associations and several poster presentations at national conferences. Her areas of interest include hypertension, endocrine disorders, drug interactions, women’s health, anticoagulation, and immunizations. Her previous experience includes serving as a faculty member for the UAMS Northeast Medical Sciences Family Medicine Residency, which she joined in 1996. In that role, she held joint family appointments as an associate professor in both the College of Pharmacy and the College of Medicine. She is an active member of the Jonesboro University Rotary Club and has been acknowledged as a Paul Harris Fellow, Rotarian of the Year, and recipient of the Service Above Self Award.
