Donna Darcy specializes in adult health and medical-surgical nursing. Her research focus is in educational technologies, including simulation and computer-assisted learning, developing and utilizing unique teaching methodologies, and learning strategies that better prepare nursing students for their profession. She is interested in exploring student learning in the context of a multigenerational classroom. She has experience as a nurse manager, nursing education specialist and manager of nursing education in acute hospital care.
She is a member of the American Nurses’ Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses, the Transcultural Nurses Society, and the Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurses Society.
Dr. Darcy recently completed her doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership at Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. She received her Master of Arts degree from New York University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Widener College (now University) in Chester, PA.
