Eva Pearson's interests lie in education equity, creating collaborative pathways in higher education, and engaging in personal service to the community. After serving five years active duty in the United States Air Force during the first Gulf War, she attained her bachelor's and master's degrees in Psychology. Presently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. through the Graduate School of Education at the University of Buffalo (SUNY). Eva's professional experience spans several fields, including psychological research at the New York University Child Study Center, behavioral therapy at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, health care management at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, and academic program administration at Long Island University and FSC (SUNY). She has also been an adjunct instructor in the fields of both Psychology and Education for nearly 20 years. In her personal life, Eva's volunteer involvement include the Child Abuse Prevention Service, and the LI Coalition for the Homeless, as well as involvement in civic organizations. She has served as a board member for the Women's Diversity Network, the Nassau University Medical Center, and the Regional EMS Council (REMSCO). Most importantly, she is the proud mother of two teenage sons who continually inspire and motivate her to create positive change.
