Vaughan completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology at Howard University and her doctoral degree in Psychology at Indiana University, where she was educated in the clinical science model, conducted secondary data analyses of large-scale and longitudinal surveys, and trained in evidence-based assessment and treatment in inpatient and outpatient settings. She completed a predoctoral psychology internship at Bellevue Hospital and NYU Child Study Center, where she continued to receive cutting-edge and interdisciplinary training across diverse contexts. Vaughan completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Andrus Mental Health Division working in community mental health and a collaborative, school-based program; she remained at Andrus as a clinician following her fellowship year. She is currently a licensed psychologist in the State of New York.
