Francine Glazer serves as interim provost and vice president of academic affairs, and is the founding director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at New York Tech.

A biologist by training, Glazer has been actively working with faculty members on issues of teaching and learning since 1993. She is a former president of the Professional and Organizational Development (POD) Network in Higher Education, a national professional organization dedicated to advancing the research and practice of educational development in higher education, and of the New Jersey Faculty Development Network. She currently serves on the executive advisory board of the International Higher Education Teaching & Learning Association and has served as a member of the editorial review boards of Innovative Higher Education and To Improve the Academy.

Glazer edited a book to help faculty members implement blended learning across various disciplines, Blended Learning: Across the Disciplines, Across the Academy, a book designed to help faculty members implement blended learning across various disciplines. Her current areas of interest include faculty mentoring, organizational development, and creating a relationship-rich environment.

Prior to joining New York Tech in 2008, Glazer was a professor of biological sciences at Kean University for 16 years. She earned a Ph.D. in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a B.S. magna cum laude, thesis honors, from Tufts University. She also earned a Master Online Teacher certificate from the University of Illinois. She pursued a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California, Irvine, under a National Institutes of Health National Research Service Award.
