Jeffrey Hardy is an academic, attorney at law (NYS), barrister at law (Australia), and actor. He has extensive experience in the education and entertainment industries on three continents (Europe, North America, and Australia). An expert in admiralty, maritime, entertainment, and international law, he has been a guest speaker at international law conferences and is the author of numerous published academic papers. He is also a regular contributor to Lexis Nexis’s Entertainment Industry Contracts.
Hardy trained for the theater at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and has worked extensively in repertory theatre in Britain and in London’s West End. He became an American citizen in 2011 after moving permanently to New York in 2007. He has appeared in many television series and films in Great Britain (Tenko, The Drummonds, Travelling Man, Escape), Australia (Pacific Drive, Medivac), and the U.S. (Money Never Sleeps, All God’s Creatures). Today, in addition to teaching subjects ranging from communications and media to acting, film, and law at New York Tech, he continues to act as well as to practice law.
