Mohammad Fakhrabadi graduated with a master's degree in economics from the University of Tehran and worked in the finance industry for nearly two years, specifically with an investment bank. He then moved to Vienna, where he earned a postgraduate diploma in economics from the Institute of Advanced Studies. In 2010, he joined the economics program at Simon Fraser University. After graduation, he began teaching at various institutions in Vancouver. Currently, alongside teaching, Fakhrabadi works with startup companies as both a manager and an advisor, contributing his expertise in economics and finance to their growth and development. He is also one of the founders and curators of a non-profit organization that supports documentary screenings in partnership with Vancouver Cinematheque.
