Manu Garza was born in Brownsville, Texas and received a professional B.Arch. at the University of Detroit, Mercy. His work experience includes positions at Albert Kahn Associates in Detroit and Morris Adjmi Architects (formerly Aldo Rossi studio di architettura) in New York. He has exhibited work at the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Art Gallery of Windsor, and for Archilab in France. Garza co-taught a studio at University of Detroit-Mercy and was a guest critic at the New School, City College of New York, Cranbrook Academy of Art, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Pratt Institute, Philadelphia University, and University of Marywood. He co-founded and leads the Et al. Collaborative of New York.

Based in Detroit, MI and Brooklyn, NY, the Et al. Collaborative is an architecture and research practice. Its team represents a unique combination of talents, professional backgrounds, passions, and insights, and approaches each project as an opportunity to collaborate with a client, and define and appropriately respond to a specific goal.
