Robert Doxey enrolled at New York Tech in fall 2017 to pursue a degree in computer science. As a student, he was heavily involved in New York Tech's Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC), where he developed software for startup companies and organizations. He worked with fellow ETIC student employees on prototypes built from NASA patents. Outside of the classroom, Doxey often developed and released iOS apps, as well as gave elder persons lessons on how to use their computer, mobile devices, and more. He truly has a love for technology, software development, and teaching.
After graduating in spring 2022 with a master's in computer science, Doxey began teaching in fall 2022. Since then, he has taught eight different courses at New York Tech, in addition to his involvement in joint-teaching Senior Project I and II. For every course he teaches, Doxey creates all material from scratch, ensuring everything is broken down in a straightforward and easy-to-understand way. He strives to ensure that every student leaves class fully understanding what was taught. Aside from teaching, Doxey has been involved in multiple task forces that push the Department of Computer Science forward. Additionally, he enjoys advising students on how to manage their time effectively, study efficiently, and get the most out of their time as a New York Tech student.
