Simon Eisinger is a founding principal of Lynch Eisinger Design (LED) Architects. Born in New York City, he received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was a recipient of the MIT Award for Excellence in the Study of Architecture. He earned a Master of Architecture from Columbia University, receiving the prestigious SOM Traveling Fellowship and the AIA Medal for Excellence in Architecture. He worked at Behnisch & Partner in Stuttgart, Germany, and later at Smith-Miller & Hawkinson, Pei Cobb Freed and Gabellini Associates in New York City. Eisinger went on to head Gabellini's German operations until 1999. In that year he founded LED in New York City. With LED, he has completed work worldwide, from HIV clinics in Kenya to Calvin Klein's flagship store in Shanghai; and from private houses to corporate offices and showrooms for companies including Herman Miller, David Yurman, and Donna Karan. His work has garnered over a dozen AIA and SARA awards. At New York Tech, Eisinger enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion with the next generation of architects.
