Yu Zhang, Ph.D., primarily focuses his research interest in international communication, Chinese political communication, diplomatic discourses, and social media. His articles have appeared in such publications as the International Journal of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, Media Asia, American Review of China Studies, Journal of International Studies, and Studies in Popular Culture. Zhang’s works have also appeared in books such as News Media and New Media: The Asia-Pacific Internet Handbook and China Today: An Encyclopedia of Life in the People’s Republic of China. Since 1996, nearly 60 academic conferences have accepted his papers for presentations, and he has been a speaker at dozens of other events. Currently, Zhang is working on his book, Applying Laozi’s WuWei to China’s Political Governance.
