Host a Student for a Day
March 3, 2016
Are you a current NYIT student interested in sharing your experiences with a newly admitted student? The Office of Admissions invites you to serve as a "host" and participate in our annual Student for a Day program now through Thursday, April 7. Program details for this ongoing initiative include:
- A prospective student will shadow you for at least part of one day. For example, your guest may accompany you to class, lunch, practice, or meetings.
- The Student for a Day program takes place Mondays through Thursdays. We'll work with your class schedule.
- Each host is typically paired with one admitted student. We try our best to match up academic interests.
- Meal passes will be provided, so you won't incur any out-of-pocket expenses.
If interested, email one of our Assistant Directors of Admissions: Latema Miller at lmille30@nyit.edu (Manhattan campus) or Brittney Denninger at bdenning@nyit.edu (Old Westbury campus). Include your class schedule and any dates that you are not available due to exams or prior engagements.
