Lisa Argrette Ahmad
Strategy Consultant

Lisa Argrette Ahmad is a seasoned global strategist, client leader, and entrepreneur. Ms. Ahmad works as a freelance consultant to non-profits in the Arts & Culture and Education sectors, leading effective project management teams around client needs for an expanded footprint, industry excellence, and, long-term financial sustainability. She is also the published author of several essays and short stories.  Ms. Ahmad has served as a board member and trustee to several non-profits in NYC, Connecticut, and Westchester County, where she resides with her family.  Prior to children, she led the start-up of the Sleepwear and Loungewear Division of The Leslie Fay Companies, a women’s apparel manufacturer in New York.  She also worked as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Co. in NYC and Arthur D. Little in Cambridge, MA. Ms. Ahmad started her professional career with extensive international travel and corporate credit experience at The Chase Manhattan Bank in New York. She is a graduate of Wellesley College and The Harvard Business School.

Juuhi Ahuja

Juuhi Ahuja is the president and CEO of Wise Men Group. Since its inception in 1997, Wise Men has grown to become a full-service IT technology firm providing consulting, managed services, support, and staff augmentation. She began her career in New York with a strong academic background including a bachelor’s degree in business and an M.B.A. from New York Institute of Technology.

As the CEO, Ahuja oversees business strategy and client relationships and partnerships. Her main line of thinking is: “If I am not networking, I am not working.” Wise Men’s business philosophy is based on 2Qs: “Quick and Quality at the right price.”

Born in Mumbai, India, in a business family, Ahuja is a certified yoga teacher, practices meditation regularly, and enjoys music, reading, and watching movies. She is married to Omprakash, a businessman who owns hotel chains like Hilton and Marriott. They have a daughter who is their pride and joy.

Lauren C. Anderson
Former FBI Executive and International Consultant

A distinguished former FBI executive, Lauren C. Anderson builds upon her geopolitical, international security, and crisis management expertise to work as a consultant with women leaders and youth internationally to prevent conflict and advocate for social justice. During a career that encompassed many “firsts” including being one of the first women on an FBI SWAT team, she led FBI offices in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. She also led the FBI’s New York Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF).

Anderson is an advisor to the U.S. Comptroller General at the Government Accountability Office on international security, intelligence, and law enforcement, a global ambassador with Vital Voices, and a judge for the XPRIZE Foundation’s Women’s Safety XPRIZE. She is a fellow with the Geneva Centre for Security Policy in Switzerland. A graduate of Muhlenberg College, Anderson completed executive programs at Harvard Business School, Cambridge Judge Business School, and the Kellogg School. She was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters by LIM College in New York City in 2019.

Nada Marie Anid, Ph.D.

Nada Marie Anid, Ph.D., is vice president for Strategic Communications and External Affairs, an office created by NYIT in May 2018 dedicated to articulating NYIT's mission as a premier polytechnic that fosters technology innovation and entrepreneurship.

A results-oriented leader with astute business acumen, Anid served as the first female dean of the NYIT School of Engineering and Computing Sciences since 2009. She spearheaded the creation of NYIT's NSA/DHS National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education, its federally and state-funded Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC), and its Empire State Development's Division of Science, Technology, and Innovation (NYSTAR)-certified business incubator.

Long an advocate for women pursuing education and career opportunities in STEM fields, Anid's efforts in this area include her recent book, The Internet of Women: Accelerating Culture Change, a “Salon Talk” interview on Silicon Valley’s gender culture for Salon.com, and opinion articles in Forbes, Fox, University Business, and the Huffington Post, among others. She is also the recipient of numerous awards; in 2015, she received a 100 Inspiring Women in STEM Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, and Long Island Business News three times named her as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business in recognition of her achievements in workforce and economic development.

An accomplished scholar and expert reviewer for the federal government and several engineering journals, Anid earned her Ph.D. in environmental engineering from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), and bachelor's and master's degrees in chemical engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

Bell has spent the past 20 years in higher education as the lead executive of various corporate disciplines including general management, operations, product development, sales, marketing, and finance.

Prior to joining Hobsons, he worked to create shareholder value at Study Group, Kaplan, Inc., Scholastic, Wayne State University, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and several start-up companies. Bell earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Brown University, an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Joyce Brocaglia

Laurie Cantileno-Lillis

With many years in the industry, Laurie Cantileno-Lillis’s hallmark is strategic technology leadership focused on innovation, execution, growing revenue opportunities, tactical & strategic planning, and building customer-focused organizations while driving partnerships and advising C-level executives. Currently, she is the Customer Success Director for Cisco’s Customer Experience organization and was formerly a private consultant in her own business and vice president of Global Network Services at Broadridge Financial. Cantileno-Lillis was the catalyst, co-creator, author, and editor of The Internet of Women and all of the collaboration surrounding this book. The collaboration between Cisco and New York Institute of Technology also includes the creation of Cisco Services Academy and Cisco’s participation in annual New York Institute of Technology global cybersecurity conferences in New York City and Abu Dhabi as well as the Woman’s Corporate Council.

Cantileno-Lillis continues this leadership by providing guidance and mentoring to professional women, men, and girls with her associations as a former board member of Girls Inc., Broadridge Financial’s Inclusion & Diversity board, the 1843Capital Investment Group, and the Executive Technology Advisory Board for New York Institute of Technology, as well as an advisor for the Society of Women Engineers and a Leader at Cisco for the Global Inclusion and Diversity. Additionally, Cantileno-Lillis has created an annual “STEM Rising Star” scholarship at New York Institute of Technology for an exceptional junior-level female scholar financially in need and pursuing a career in the sciences. Cantileno-Lillis was also honored as one of Nassau County’s Outstanding Women of Achievement in 2017. She can also be found donating as associate producer on other STEM initiatives, like the film “She Started It,” featured worldwide as well as in The Internet of Women book. The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) also selected Cantileno-Lillis as Business Women of the Year in 2014.

Her personal interests include organic gardening and fitness as a certified personal trainer and a group fitness instructor. She is married and lives in Florida with her many animals. She holds a magna cum laude degree in Computer Science from New York Institute of Technology as well as an ITIL v3 certification for Service Delivery.

Jennifer S. Cohen

Jennifer S. Cohen has been a marketing executive for more than 30 years. As managing partner of Songmasters, she leads all integrated marketing and brand communications programs, both domestic and international, including sponsorship and co-promotions with major corporations in cause-related marketing efforts and as direct marketing tools. She is the creative force behind Songmasters, both in conceiving and designing its new and innovative program directions for the company overall and for the individual initiatives of her clients. Cohen has cut new paths, whether leading the development of groundbreaking virtual, multi-media cultural arts communities and resources; reimagining the consumer face of state healthcare exchanges; creating new business models for regional (stage) theater; producing multi-award-winning albums, concerts, PBS broadcast, and more. Cohen has worked in all areas of domestic and international branding and marketing, press and PR, distribution and finance in the recorded music industry in over 65 countries. As an executive producer, she has also led innovative uses of technology in music and other art forms.

Galina Datskovsky, Ph.D., CRM, FAI

Galina Datskovsky is a serial entrepreneur and an internationally recognized privacy, compliance, and security expert. She is currently the CEO of Vaporstream®, a position where she applies her knowledge and strategic guidance in building businesses, product development, governance policies, as well as cybersecurity. Prior to Vaporstream, Datskovsky served as CEO of Covertix, North America; Senior Vice President of Information Governance at Autonomy/HP; and as General Manager of the Information Governance Business Unit and Senior Vice President of Architecture while at CA. She joined CA in 2006 with the acquisition of MDY Group International, where she was the founder and CEO.

Datskovsky currently sits on the advisory board of the Executive Woman’s Forum and is part of the Voice Privacy Alliance. She is a champion of the entrepreneurial spirit as she has served on the board of multiple startups, assisting with strategy and continues to support the startup community. Datskovsky served as chair, president, president elect and director of ARMA International (2007-2013) and has been widely published in academic journals, speaking frequently for industry organizations such as AIIM, ARMA SINET, EWF, ILTA, IQPC, and MER.

Throughout her career Datskovsky has been the recipient of numerous awards. Most notably she was designated a Distinguished Engineer while at CA (2006-10), was the recipient of the prestigious Emmet Leahy Award (2013), and was named a Fellow of ARMA International (2014). Most recently she was named one of the top 25 Women in Cybersecurity by Cyber Defense Magazine, July 2019. Prior to founding MDY, Datskovsky consulted for IBM and Bell Labs and taught at the Fordham University Graduate School of Business and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Columbia University. She earned her doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science from Columbia University.

Ceree Eberly

Ceree Eberly is a global business executive with more than 30 years of experience creating brand and shareholder value. She currently serves on the board of Qualfon Corporation, a global provider of business process outsourcing to companies such as Google, Amazon, Uber, and T-Mobile. She serves as board chair of the Global Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) board of Gartner, LLC (formerly CEB).

Eberly’s global experience includes 28 years with The Coca-Cola Company, providing a total portfolio of beverages to consumers across 207 countries with $42 billion in annual sales. She retired in March 2018 after more than 28 years with the company and eight years as chief people officer, leading a global organization responsible for transforming culture, workplace, talent, and succession, for 150,000+ employees, as well as serving as part of the executive leadership team driving long-term vision and strategy.

She has served on a number of non-profit boards, including chair of the Board of Trustees for Oglethorpe University; AACSB International Business Practices Council; Habit for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House Charities; and Skyland Trail. Eberly is a member of the Women Corporate Directors global organization and has been involved with numerous human resources global leadership organizations.

Eberly has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Tennessee, graduating with high honors. She lives in Atlanta, where she enjoys volunteering, swimming, and photography.

Dan Ferrara

Dan Ferrara is northeast regional president for Alteon Health, a physician-led organization that supports some of the most respected health systems in the United States. With over 1,700 clinicians serving more than 125 practice locations nationwide, Alteon is a leading provider of emergency medicine, hospitalist medicine, critical care, post-acute care, and virtual and home health services.

Ferrara has long been involved in giving back to people who need it most. He provided guidance and financial support for the Healing Path, located on the NYITCOM campus at New York Institute of Technology-Long Island, which was created to remind medical students to take time to reflect and focus on their own health and wellness. He also is helping to promote the restructuring and expansion of the NYITCOM simulation lab.

Prior to joining Alteon in early 2017, Ferrara spent nearly 15 years with Island Medical Physicians, PC, of which he was founder and chief executive officer. Passionate about emergency medicine, Ferrara started the practice with a goal to provide the highest level of care to patients, regardless of the hospital or emergency room they had been admitted to. He has served as chairman of the department of emergency medicine at South Nassau Communities Hospital, New Island Hospital, and Massapequa General Hospital. He also served as the clinical director of emergency medicine at SUNY Stony Brook and was an emergency medicine physician at Huntington Hospital.

Ferrara completed his emergency medicine residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the Bronx, and his osteopathic medicine residency at The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn. He earned a B.S. in biology at Allegheny College, Meadville, Penn.

Junius Gonzales, M.D., M.B.A.

Prior to joining NYIT in June 2018, Junius Gonzales served as senior vice-president for academic affairs and chief academic officer for the University of North Carolina. He also served as provost at the University of Texas at El Paso and was founding dean of the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences at University of South Florida. Throughout his career, he has spearheaded many initiatives in support of student and faculty success. He recently completed an Association of Chief Academic Officers’ Digital Learning Fellowship supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Emily Irving

Emily Irving is a member of BlackRock’s Risk and Quantitative Analysis Group in the Third-Party Risk team. Ms. Irving is a seasoned manager and risk professional with several years of experience in risk management and fraud prevention. In her career, Irving has created and implemented enterprise-wide vendor risk management programs for financial industry companies, improving processes and implementing technology to validate the appropriateness of third-party controls and to identify potential risks prior to on-boarding and throughout the life of significant relationships. Irving joined BlackRock in July of 2018.

Before taking on her current role, Irving was recruited to design, implement, and oversee global programs at Wellington Management LLC and Pioneer Investments. She is vice chair of the Shared Assessments Steering Committee, past chair of the Shared Assessments Best Practices Group, originator of the Shared Assessments Asset Management Industry Vertical, and has presented on the topic of third-party risk at multiple forums as well as helped author multiple white papers on best practices in third party risk management. She is a certified fraud examiner (CFE), certified third party risk professional (CTPRP) and certified controls specialist (CCS).

Nadia Islam, Ph.D.
Associate Professor, Department of Population Health
NYU School of Medicine

Nadia Islam’s research focuses on developing culturally relevant community-clinical linkage models to promote health equity in disadvantaged communities. She is the deputy director of the NYU Center for the Study of Asian American Health, an NIH-funded Research Center of Excellence dedicated to reducing health disparities facing Asian American communities; research director of the NYU-CUNY Prevention Research Center; and co-directs the Community Engagement and Population Health Research core of NYU’s Clinical Translational Science Institute. She also serves as the principal investigator on several NIH- and CDC-funded initiatives evaluating the impact of community health worker interventions on chronic disease management and prevention in diverse populations.

Islam is a medical sociologist with a doctorate in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University. She serves on the American Diabetes Association Taskforce on Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders. Previously, she was on the board of the Public Health Association of New York and chaired the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus of the American Public Health Association. Islam is co-editor of Asian American Communities and Health (Jossey Bass Publisher, 2009). Her work has been featured in the American Journal of Public Health, Diabetes Care, and numerous other peer-reviewed journals.

Neha J. Joshi

Neha Jain Joshi serves as the first Group Innovation Officer for Accenture Security, where she is responsible for oversight for a division of 150+ global resources rapidly building innovative solutions and integration with Accenture’s innovation architecture. These patented solutions leverage robotics, artificial intelligence, dev-ops, data analytics, and machine learning technologies.

With over 15 years of experience, Joshi works with clients around the world on solving complex security technology challenges across a diverse set of industries, including banking, healthcare, and media. Joshi has authored numerous industry articles, is a frequent speaker, and coauthored a book on innovation in identity and access management.

Personally, she is passionate about advancing women’s initiatives, especially in technology. Joshi actively mentors many women within Accenture and works with the Executive Women’s Forum, Girls Who Code, and iMentor. She is also a member of Chief, a private network focused on connecting and supporting exceptional female leaders.

Younghee Kim Wait

Younghee Kim Wait is an independent wealth management professional and specializes in art management and advisory work. She works with families with significant private art collections and helps with estate, trust, and legacy planning. Younghee has specialized in alternative assets investment, asset allocation, and risk management for over 25 years. She specialized in high-yield private placements and pioneered in distressed loan trading and investment in U.S., European, and Asian capital markets previously. She was chief of staff to the president of Goldman Sachs Japan/Asia Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities Division. As Chief Administrative Officer for the Goldman Sachs FIG Division in Japan and Asia, she was also responsible for the Human capital management, financial planning, and strategic planning for new business initiatives.

Younghee has served as an international docent for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s education department since 2008. She is a director of Alexandra William Foundation whose mission is to support community engagement by artists and scientists as well as multicultural and cross border collaboration by higher educational institutions. She is a member of the President’s Council of the Juilliard School and a board member of the Johnson Museum at Cornell University and the Amherst College Mead Museum. She is also a member of the Independent Curators International, the Economic Club of New York, the Council on Foreign Relations, and NYU Law School Center for Law and Security as well as a member of the Belizean Grove and Renaissance Weekends.

Younghee holds a joint master’s degree from NYU Law School and Tandon School of Engineering in Cybersecurity Risk and Strategies with a focus on digital asset management and Intellectual property protections. She is a graduate of NYU Stern School of Business and Amherst College. She also attended Doshisha University in Kyoto for advanced studies in Japanese and Japanese Arts and the University of Hong Kong for a certificate in Mandarin language. She is currently pursuing Masters and Ph.D. in Art Advisory and Management.

Dari Marder

Dari Marder is the co-founder of Creative Playground, a branding firm that excels at creating excitement for brands. Previously, she served as the chief marketing officer for Iconix Brand Group. As the CMO for over 25 years, she helped build what was to become the second-largest licensing company in the world. Marder led global branding for some of the most recognizable consumer brands in the fashion, home, entertainment, and consumer electronic space. Her notable and award-winning marketing campaigns have garnered billions of media impressions and have become woven into pop culture.

Marder also spearheaded partnerships with celebrities to create brands from the ground up. Working closely with Madonna and her daughter, Lola, Marder conceived and launched the Material Girl brand, building it to become a top junior brand at Macy’s. Marder is an investor in and advisor to several Millennial and Gen Z-focused digital and media companies.

Regan McCarthy, Ph.D.

Regan McCarthy has a distinguished and varied career as a diplomat, educator, media producer, fundraiser, psychologist, and consultant, both domestically and internationally. As Songmasters’ senior partner, she is responsible for development and oversight of new projects and philanthropic programs as well as all non-profit and community relations. Throughout her career, McCarthy has been involved with emerging technology, from the earliest uses of integrated technology in education to current involvement in developing AI applications to advance student learning, promote civic engagement and improve civil discourse. Her interest in technology is more than academic. Her work has ranged from implementing the first digital radio transmission system in the former Yugoslavia (co-creating the #1 post-war radio station on the way) to developing creative tools, media and platforms to recognize exceptional but under recognized artists. McCarthy has served as Principal Investigator for major STEM grants from the National Science Foundation. She obtained a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from Columbia University and is a licensed psychologist.

Shamla Naidoo

Shamla Naidoo is an accomplished information security executive with more than 30 years of experience. As the former Global Chief Information Security Officer of IBM, she was the company’s top information security executive, responsible for safeguarding IBM global business units and brands. Naidoo was accountable for IBM's overall information security program, which included the company’s information risk and security strategies, planning, governance, architecture, and operations.

Naidoo is now a global managing partner in IBM Security, where she provides cybersecurity strategy and thought leadership to the C-suite of IBM customers. She advises corporate, non-profit, and academic boards and is an adjunct law professor, where she develops and teaches courses in information technology, cybersecurity and privacy law. She is licensed to practice law and holds degrees in Information Systems and Economics from the University of South Africa, and a Juris Doctor degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

Noshin Raisa

On campus, she volunteered at Girls’ Technology and Science Day, where she had the opportunity to help young females understand the fun in STEM. When not studying, she enjoys traveling.

Davia B. Temin

Davia Temin is CEO of Temin and Company, a management consultancy that helps organizations create, enhance, and save their reputations and coaches board directors and C-Suite executives. She works with clients to create brand-distinguishing thought leadership and best practices in governance and corporate leadership, as well as to promote women’s leadership, provide socially responsible marketing, media and social media strategy and execution, and create cultures supportive of gender equity.

Prior to founding the firm 22 years ago, Temin headed corporate marketing for GE Capital, Citi Investment Bank, and Columbia Business School. Deborah Verderame, Principal, AIA, ASID, LEED AP

Deborah Verderame is a strong client liaison and project administrator who provides strategic design direction and leadership to a variety of project types and client industries. An alumnus of New York Institute of Technology (Class of ’83), she took her architecture degree on to join and eventually co-manage Landy Verderame Arianna Architects. She personally oversaw its induction in the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as a recognized women-owned business enterprise (WBE). Verderame maintained, grew. and relaunched the business as Verderame | Cale architecture PLLC in 2013, wherein she continues to oversee both large- and small-scale interior architecture projects for major corporate and educational institutions.

As a former managing partner and now principal, Verderame maintained and grew the legacy of the dynamic WBE over the past 25 years. She is a proven leader of complex fit-out and renovation projects and is known for her ability to lead a large team through a consensus-driven process, focused on integrated design, workplace strategy, and technical innovation. Under her design guidance, numerous projects have been recognized with distinction and awards over the years. Verderame is LEED accredited and has been recognized with several awards for her LEED qualified projects as well. In addition, to leading the staff at Verderame | Cale architecture, she spent several years on the executive board of the Boy Scouts of America, and for the past 13 years has sat on the Executive Committee of Architecture Advisory Board of New York Institute of Technology whereupon she oversees, sponsors, and contributes to the school’s initiatives in the field of architecture education.

Caroline Watteeuw

Caroline Watteeuw is the founder of Innovation Through Technology, where she advises senior executives on the critical success factors for executing a digital transformation. She was executive vice president and chief information officer of Caliber Home Loans, where she was responsible for all technology supporting Caliber’s aggressive growth plan and innovation in creating the “Ultimate Home Buying Experience”. Before this, Watteeuw served as technology officer for Warburg Pincus after retiring as chief technology officer and senior vice president of Business Information Services at PepsiCo. She joined PepsiCo in June 2004 as chief information officer for North America, supporting both the beverage and food businesses. In 2007, she was promoted to global chief technology officer and senior vice president of Business Information Solutions, where she established the company’s worldwide Information Technology Innovation Centers and managed architecture and engineering teams, infrastructure operations, and manufacturing and logistics systems.

Watteeuw has spent most of her career in financial services. She was chief technology officer of TradingEdge, where she implemented the first online trading systems for emerging market bond trading and municipal bond trading. Prior, Watteeuw was a managing director at Credit Suisse Boston and Bankers Trust. She serves on the board of directors of New Relic and the board of trustees of New York Institute of Technology. She earned a professional chemical engineering degree at the University of Ghent in Belgium and an M.S. in chemical and biochemical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Whitmore also serves on the boards of Cancer Pathways and La Pointe Foundation. She lives in Bellevue, Wash., with her four children and husband.
