Departmental Seminar: Manrose Singh & Lucas Faltings
December 14, 2023
3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Rockefeller, Auditorium
Manrose Singh | Class of 2026 | Investigating the Molecular Mechanism of the Breakage-Fusion-Bridge Cycle in Cancer Cells |
Lucas Faltings | Class of 2026 | Unraveling the Critical Function Of Sox2 in Choroid Plexus Tumorigenesis |
Manrose "Manny" Singh (Class of 2026) joined NYIT in 2019 after getting his BA in Biochemistry from Vassar College in 2015. He enrolled in the DO/PhD program in 2021 after completing his preclinical training. His interest in in cancer biology began with identifying potential targets for personalized therapeutic treatments for small-cell cancer. He is currently investigating cancer cells under the mentorship of Dr. Dong Zhang in the Dept. of Biomedical Sciences.
Lucas Faltings (Class of 2026) also joined NYIT in 2019 after getting his BS in Biochemistry from Florida State University in 2017. After performing research at Lenox Hill Hospital, he enrolled in the DO/PhD program in 2021. He is also interested in studying the molecular mechanisms of tumor progression and is currently investigating the role of Sox2 transcription factor in tumorigenesis under the mentorship of Dr. Haotian Zhao in the Dept. of Biomedical Sciences.
