Safe Zone Workshop

The New York Tech Safe Zone Program Committee is pleased to announce Spring 2024 Safe Zone sessions. Individuals can indicate interest and register using the links below. What is Safe Zone? It is a national program to spearhead awareness, resources, and tools for advocacy related to LGBT+ and gender diverse Individuals. New York Tech adopted its version of this program in spring 2023 to assist faculty, staff, and students with supporting and increasing success and belonging for individuals within the LGBTQ+ community.

Participation in a Safe Zone session helps to:

• Offer opportunities for respectful listening.
• Provide a safe, friendly, non-judgmental space.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Make it easy to access relevant resources.
• Be proactive in addressing inequities in our community for LGBTQ+ individuals.
