Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
We are pleased to announce that Career Services and Experiential Education will now be united to form the Office of Career Success and Experiential Education for our New York campuses, beginning August 1.
Both of these areas have offered outstanding programs, support, and resources to our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external partners. Some notable outcomes of these efforts include:
- Since its inception in 2009, 2,047 students in the Internship Certificate Program have earned $5 million.
- 94 percent of our students are employed/continuing their education within six months of graduation.
- New York Tech is consistently in the top 15 percent of PayScale's list of top-earning alumni, (based on our alumni's mid-career earnings).
|
The new Office of Career Success and Experiential Education reflects a renewed and ongoing commitment to strengthen, enhance, and streamline offerings that align with the university's mission of providing career-oriented professional education, while holistically preparing our students for personal and professional success. It will continue to support:
- our students' professional development, job acquisition, and success;
- our commitment to relationship building with students, faculty, staff, employers, and alumni;
- academic programs seeking to build high-impact practices and career development strategies into their curriculum;
- New York Tech's ongoing civic engagement efforts; and
- lifelong career services support for all New York Tech alumni.

The Office of Career Success and Experiential Education will be led by Senior Director Amy Bravo along with Directors Laurie Hollister and Adrienne McNally. Their offices will be located in the Student Activity Center (SAC), second floor, at the Long Island campus and in 26 W. 61st St., room 211, at the New York City campus.
We hope you join in our excitement regarding the creation of this newly combined Office of Career Success and Experiential Education, which will nurture New York Tech's "Doer, Maker, and Innovator" culture while preparing and empowering students to find and advance in exceptional careers that will impact the future of the world.
