Borrow from other libraries or transfer items between New York Institute of Technology library locations. If we don't have what you need, New York Tech Libraries will get it for you through interlibrary loan.
Intra-Library (or intra-campus) Loans
Current students, staff, and faculty may request to borrow materials from any of NYIT–New York or NYIT–Long Island campus libraries through Intra-Library Loan.
Use the New York Tech Library Catalog to find the item you want. If the only copy of the item is located at another branch library, then fill out and submit the Intra-Library Loan request form. Your request will be processed in 2 business days. If available, the item will be sent to the requesting branch library, and you will receive an email when it arrives. If the request is not available, we will notify you as soon as possible.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Sometimes you might need materials that New York Tech Libraries does not own.
You can use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to request items from other libraries to support your learning, research and teaching.
Interlibrary Loan is a free service available for current New York Tech students, faculty, and staff.
To avoid delays, always check the Library Catalog to see if we own the item prior to submitting ILL requests.
