7 Things You Should Know About NYIT Manhattan Library

- Monday to Thursday: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Saturday: Closed
- Sunday: Closed

Databases & eBooks: The library has over 200 online databases and 70,000 ebooks, and provides access to more than 50,000 full text online journals. You require your NYIT username and password to access the library’s electronic resources, all available remotely, 24/7.
Textbooks:The library keeps reserve copies of many of the textbooks used in courses. Students can request these books at the Circulation Desk. They can be used for 3 hours at a time. If we currently do not have a book, request it.
Checkout Books: You need your NYIT ID card to check out materials. Books can be checked out for 2 weeks and be renewed for an additional 2 weeks. Self checkout stations are available on the 1st and 2nd floors.
Technology: The library has 40 desktop PCs for student use. In addition, we lend laptops, MacBooks, iPads, Chromebooks, headphones and calculators. The entire library is covered by a high speed wireless network. Printing is available in both color and black and white. The first 500 pages of printing or photocopying are free per semester.
Group Study Rooms: The library has 4 group study rooms. The rooms are currently unavailable, but can normally be reserved online.. All rooms have whiteboards and the library lends markers and erasers. Two include Media Scape collaborative technology.
