Check-in Dates
- New Domestic Students: Saturday, Sept. 3, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Returning Students: Sunday, Sept. 4, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Check-in Procedure
Please read the following information carefully to ensure that you follow proper check-in procedure.
When you arrive for check-in:
- Set your GPS for 2534 Cedar Swamp Road, Glen Head, NY, 11545. This address refers to the location across the street from the SUNY Old Westbury campus entrance.
- Upon entering campus, follow the signs to the Academic Village.
- Park your vehicle in the Academic Village Parking Lot and walk down to your designated residence hall assignment.
- You MUST present Office of the Bursar Proof of Clearance to be granted access to your room assignment. Please contact the NYIT Office of the Bursar if you have not received Proof of Clearance prior to your check-in date.
- You will be given a pass that allows you to drive up to your assigned residence hall in order to unload your vehicle. We ask that once unloaded, you return your vehicle to the parking lot before unpacking items within your room to avoid traffic build-up in front of the residence halls.
If you have not received your residence hall room assignment prior to your check-in date, please contact the NYIT Office of Residence Life for more information.
