Elizabeth Haines, DO, MSc, FACEP is the Service Chief of Quality and the Patient Safety Officer at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital-NYU Langone Health. She is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at NYU and Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital. She previously held departmental roles in Emergency Medicine education, clinical operations, and safety before moving into systems-level work in pediatric clinical quality & safety. Following her post-graduate training in Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine, she completed a Masters of Applied Science in Healthcare Quality and Safety at Johns Hopkins University- Bloomberg School of Public Health. Most recently Dr. Haines has been working on the introduction of newly developed process and outcome measures, for both inpatient and ambulatory pediatrics, in the domain of patient equity.
