Kate Maitland
Her professional career began as Executive Personal Assistant to Beatrice Renfield, Senior Vice President of Renfield Importers. She oversaw the Harold and Beatrice Renfield Foundation and managed a household budget, accounts payable, and six staff members. As Mrs. Renfield’s health declined, Kate completed her vision for the Beatrice Renfield Nursing Center at Beth Israel Medical Center within the 2-year time frame and 5-million-dollar budget. After her passing, she continued as the Executive Assistant for the Trustees for another year to fulfill the final estate administration and dealings.
She is a California native and an Emmy Awardee. Kate graduated from San Francisco State University, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts. As said, she is nationally certified as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy, CAP, and hold a Notary Public in New York. I currently sit on the Board of the Beatrice Renfield Foundation, the Advisory Board of New York Institute of Technology - College of Medicine, and formerly the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York. Kate received the premier Girl Scout “Thanks Badge” and the Adult Volunteer & Community Recognition Award for service to the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York and the Girl Scout Movement. Finally, she is a theater, film, and nature enthusiast; Kate loves traveling the world, hiking, and spending time with her husband, Dick, son Bryan, and daughter Taryn and their families.
