Commencement Countdown Starts for Class of 2016

As part of an ongoing series on The Box, we'll share to-do lists and upcoming deadlines for students participating in NYIT Commencement on Sunday, May 22. First up: everything you need to know about ordering regalia, reserving tickets, and entering contests.
NYIT Commencement is still a few months away, but there are plenty of things you need to do now to prepare for graduation. Members of the Class of 2016 should follow our to-do list with various items due in March:
- Reserve Tickets Each graduate may receive up to four tickets for the ceremony. Reserve your tickets starting at noon on Tuesday, March 1.
- Student Speaker Contest We are looking for an outstanding student speaker to represent the Class of 2016's experiences at NYIT Commencement. This role is an honor and an opportunity to share your story. View all requirements and apply by Friday, March 4.
- National Anthem Singer Contest Do you have a great voice and stage presence? Apply to audition: email commencement@nyit.edu by Friday, March 4.
- Order Regalia All graduates must wear regalia—cap and gown—at NYIT Commencement. Order your regalia by Thursday, March 31.
