New York Tech Extends Deposit Deadline

March 17, 2020

In light of the extraordinary circumstances that students are facing, New York Institute of Technology is proactively extending its deposit date for the incoming Fall 2020 freshman class by one month, to June 1.

“We recognize the financial uncertainty that many of our admitted students and their families are facing during this unprecedented public health crisis. With this extension, we hope to provide one less issue for them to worry about,” said Joseph Posillico, Ed.D., vice president of Enrollment Management, adding that he encourages other institutions to implement similar initiatives.

To help families with their college decisions, New York Tech is planning virtual events for admitted students to connect with faculty and current students, meet with admissions and financial aid experts, and take a virtual tour. Administrative offices at its New York campuses are functioning remotely, and all in-person classes for current students will be taught via remote learning environments beginning March 23.
