News Brief: Car Enthusiasts Gather at NYIT de Seversky Mansion
October 22, 2018
On October 14, NYIT de Seversky Mansion played host to the Porsche World Gatherers Second Annual Driven to America.
The event celebrates the history of the air-cooled Porsche (air-cooled engines release heat directly into the air and are cooled by a combination of fresh, circulating air and oil) and the man who introduced the car to the United States.
Car enthusiasts mingled with one another but mostly came to admire the cars on display. And it wasn’t just Porsches they came to see. There were a variety of vehicles on display from vintage hotrods to modern sports cars. Monies collected will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
