October 1, 2019

Vice President for Financial Affairs, CFO, and Treasurer Barbara Holahan, M.B.A., was among an elite group of Long Island financial executives honored on September 26 at the annual Long Island Business News Business and Finance Awards at the Crest Hollow Country Club.

Each year, LIBN recognizes financial experts whose exemplary performance has made a significant impact on the region and their organization. The honorees have also exhibited a dedication to the community through community service, nonprofit work, or philanthropy. In addition to her leadership role at New York Institute of Technology, Holahan is a trustee of Sacred Heart Academy, an all-girls Catholic high school where she chaired the Finance, Investments, and Audit Committees from 2010 to 2018.

“This award is a well-deserved recognition of Barbara’s expertise in financial planning and risk management, her career achievements at non-profits that include New York Tech, the Metropolitan Opera, Columbia University, and others, and her outstanding philanthropic activities,” said New York Institute of Technology President Hank Foley, Ph.D.
