News Byte: Nutrition Program Ranked Among Best in U.S.

New York Institute of Technology’s M.S. in Clinical Nutrition is ranked one of the best Master of Nutrition degree programs by TheBestSchools.org, which recently announced its list of the top 50 accredited online Master of Nutrition programs in the United States. The university’s M.S. in Clinical Nutrition is also ranked #3 in the nation on onlinemasters.com’s list of best nutrition programs.

“We are confident that our online graduate education in clinical nutrition offers students exceptional training and opportunities,” said Gordon Schmidt, Ph.D., dean of NYIT School of Health Professions. “Our graduates are doing amazing work in the fight against the nation’s obesity epidemic and in fields ranging from exercise science to community health.”

In its report, TheBestSchools.org notes that the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that demand for dieticians and nutritionists will grow by 15 percent by 2026, creating nearly 10,000 new positions.
