News Byte: President Foley Named as Top NYC Power Player
October 5, 2022
New York Tech President Hank Foley, Ph.D., was named as one of 2022’s Power Players in Education by Politics NY, which covers New York City politics, government, policy, and judicial news. The annual list profiles educators, legislators, and other leaders who are dedicated to education throughout New York.
When asked what New York policymakers could do to ensure equitable access to quality education, President Foley noted: “They should continue to fund and increase funding for Bundy grants and other related programs for students who choose to go to private sector schools. If they want to be really effective, they would also extend the Excelsior scholarships to students who attend private colleges and universities in the state. Let the funds follow the student.”
