May 13, 2020

While students seeking post-graduation jobs and internships aren’t able to conduct their normal job searches and in-person interviews, New York Tech Career Services is answering their call for help. On May 14, nearly 40 employers offering full- and part-time positions and internships will be on hand at the first New York Tech Spring Virtual Career Day.

“We have been working hard since the day we went remote to convert our cancelled employer events into something tangible for students,” said Laurie Hollister, director of career services for New York Tech.

Employers who have signed on to the remote career fair include finance/insurance companies First Long Island Investors, LLC, Northwestern Mutual, and New York Life; advertising/marketing firms Ampersand and Riddle & Bloom; architectural/planning firms elite studio e, H2M, and Mojo Stumer Associates; internet/software companies ECS and Fast Enterprises; and other well-known names like Canon USA and Sherwin-Williams. A number of nonprofits, including the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County and Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, as well as government agencies ranging from the FBI, U.S. Capitol Police, and Federal Highway Administration to the New York State Departments of Civil Service and Transportation to the New York City of Department of Buildings will be attending the virtual event to recruit students. All New York Tech students can register and see the full list of employers on Career Services’ Handshake platform.
