NYIT Announces Board of Trustees Transitions
February 3, 2015
In May, NYIT Board of Trustees Chair Linda Davila (B.S. '78), first vice president, investments, Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management, will complete her fourth three-year term as board chair and is not seeking re-election. Trustee Kevin Silva was chosen as chair-elect to succeed her. Silva, executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Voya Financial, has been a member of the NYIT board since 2007.
The orderly transition of roles provides the NYIT Board of Trustees with continuity in 2015. Davila joined the board in 1989, was named vice chairperson in 1999, and became the university's first female and first African-American chairperson in 2004.
