President Foley Honored With LIBN Executive Circle Award

New York Institute of Technology President Hank Foley, Ph.D., was one of the 35 honorees who received a Long Island Business News (LIBN) Executive Circle Award at the Crest Hollow Country Club on May 16.

At the luncheon, Foley was recognized with other executives who have consistently demonstrated remarkable leadership skills, integrity, values, and vision, as well as a commitment to excellence, company performance, community service, and diversity. Awards spanned a wide range of fields including law, accounting, real estate, healthcare, technology, finance, education, and nonprofits.

Foley celebrated alongside members of NYIT’s president’s council, who also congratulated fellow awardee Richard Humann, P.E. (B.S. ’91), president and CEO of H2M Architects + Engineers.

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran, who recently commended New York Institute of Technology’s new public sector scholarship, delivered the keynote speech and thanked the honorees for their contributions to the Long Island community.

The LIBN Executive Circle Awards are given annually to c-suites, directors, and other senior level executives who meet the following criteria:

• A demonstrated vision and leadership over several years, through good times and bad, guiding and inspiring their organization to new levels of growth and achievement.
• Successful corporate performance, including organizational growth.
• Innovative business achievements in the organization’s market sector and in relationships with employees and customers.
• Demonstrated social responsibility that uses personal skills and creativity to help the community in which the organization does business.
