We offer employment opportunities on campus as a Student Assistant, Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant. In addition to the opportunities, we also have a robust internship program.

Eligibility/Requirements

  • You must be currently enrolled in classes and have completed one term at New York Tech Vancouver
  • Students on academic or disciplinary probation are not eligible to work.
  • Students are NOT permitted to work on-campus once they receive their letter of completion upon graduation.
  • During the school year, students may work up to 20 hours per week. In the summer and during breaks, students may work up to 40 hours per week.
  • You have a valid study permit or you have applied to extend your study permit.
  • You are enrolled full-time for immigration purposes during academic terms.
  • You have a valid Social Insurance Number.

Applying for a Job

To apply to work on campus, log on to New York Tech's Handshake, where you'll find be able to search for all on-campus jobs available at the Vancouver campus.

  • If you have not done so already, upload your resume under "Documents" and select "Build Profile from Resume." Handshake will automatically populate your education, work experience, and skills OR you may input your information manually under the "My Profile."
  • Enter a short bio, input your relevant coursework, and attach social links.
  • If you would like to be considered for positions outside of New York Tech, select the "Make My Profile Public" option.
  • Select the "Jobs" tab at the top of the page to search for jobs. Click All Filters, then "On-Campus Jobs.".

Most positions are highly competitive. Make your application stand out by applying with a resume that's been reviewed by someone in Career Services and Experiential Education, and by following application instructions explicitly.
