New York Tech is committed to providing students and their families with a range of options for paying their educational expenses. Please note that effective March 18, 2019, students will be charged a convenience fee by New York Tech's third-party credit card processing vendor when making credit card payments to their bursar account. This change is being made to offset the costs associated with providing the convenience of online credit card payments.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS
Effective July 5, 2023, please note the following changes to non-refundable convenience fees:
Transact Payments, an independent third-party contractor that accepts payments to a student's bursar account, will charge a non-refundable convenience fee based on the amount charged. Domestic credit card payments will incur a non-refundable convenience fee of 2.85%, and international credit cards will incur a non-refundable convenience fee of 4.25%, which is assessed by Transact Payments and not New York Tech. The minimum convenience fee for card transactions over $20 and less than $106 will be $3. The convenience fee is paid to Transact Payments, and New York Tech does not receive any of this fee. The charge for the convenience fee will appear separately from the payment on your card statement.
ACH CONVENIENCE FEES
E-check payments from checking and savings accounts are accepted online by New York Tech through the ACH (Automated Clearing House) Network.
Transact Payments, an independent third-party contractor that accepts payments to a student's bursar account, will charge a non-refundable convenience fee up to .50 per E-check transaction. The convenience fee is paid to Transact Payments, and New York Tech does not receive any of this fee. The charge for the convenience fee will appear separately from the payment on your bank statement.
Be sure to note the convenience fee and read the terms and conditions before initiating your payment.
Cash and check payments can be made in person at the Office of the Bursar (please do not send cash through the mail).
FAQs
Can I make payment on a student account by credit card?
MOREYes. However, credit card payments are only accepted online via Transact Payments through the Student Service HUB. New York Tech no longer accepts credit card payments by mail, in-person, or via fax for student account payments.
To allow your parents or some other designee to make a payment, view your balance, enroll in a payment plan and view your e-bill: Sign in to your Student Service HUB account and choose Select Parent PIN. Once you've granted them access, they will be able to perform these functions.
Is there a fee for paying by a credit card?

NOTE: a debit card with a credit card issuer logo will be processed as a credit card and incur the above convenience fees.
Why is New York Tech no longer accepting in-person student account credit card payments?
MOREThe costs associated with processing in-person student account credit card transactions have continued to grow each year. Rather than eliminate student account credit card payments altogether, New York Tech is committed to offering students the continued option to securely and conveniently pay their student accounts online.

Why can't I see the convenience fee charge on my student account?
MOREThe convenience fee is assessed by Transact Payments, not New York Tech, so it will not appear on your student account. The convenience fee will appear as a separate charge on your credit card or bank statement.
Is the convenience fee refundable?
MORENo, the Transact Payments incurred convenience fee is non-refundable. Any convenience fee disputes must be taken directly to your credit card issuer or bank.
