New York Tech Faculty Development Day

Please join us at the inaugural Faculty Development Day on Friday, November 18, 2022, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (ET) at Riland Auditorium. Keynote speaker Latha Poonamallee, from The New School, will discuss her approach to Change Management, followed by presentations from New York Tech faculty who have incorporated an innovative teaching strategy and/or technology into their teaching toolkit, including:
- Melissa Huey, Ph.D., assistant professor of behavioral sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, New York City campus
- Seyed Masood (Max) Razavi, Ph.D., assistant professor of energy management, College of Engineering and Computing Sciences, Vancouver campus
- Todd Cohen, M.D., professor, chief of cardiology, and director of medical device innovation, College of Osteopathic Medicine, Long Island campus
- Jaclyn Cotgreave, M.S. PA-C, assistant professor, School of Health Professions, Long Island campus
Representatives from Apple Education will also be present on the Long Island campus to share insights about their teaching technology and its use in higher ed.
Round-trip transportation from the New York City campus to the Long Island campus will be provided. Further information, including arrangements for faculty on the Jonesboro and Vancouver campuses, will be provided at a later date.
