Former Microsoft CEO and Chairman Bill Gates visited NYIT in October 1999 to discuss the future of education. He is pictured giving a speech on the opportunities and challenges of educating a generation of students whose experiences are defined by the Internet. Gates also received NYIT's Presidential Medal.
