Throwback Thursday Photo: NYIT Auditorium on Broadway
October 15, 2015
On Oct. 15, 2009, the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway held its first event. As reported in the winter 2010 edition of NYIT Magazine, the venue opened with a ribbon-cutting celebration and a special appearance by NYIT First Lady and international best-selling author Mireille Guiliano, who discussed her book Women, Work & the Art of Savoir Faire: Business Sense & Sensibility.
Today, the dynamic space provides a variety of cultural and educational opportunities for students, faculty and staff members, alumni, and external audiences. Most recently, NYIT Auditorium on Broadway hosted an exclusive screening of the documentary India's Daughter introduced by Hollywood actress Meryl Streep. After the screening, Katie Couric moderated a Q&A interview with Leslee Udwin, the film's director and producer. For information about upcoming screenings and other events, visit nyit.edu/aob.
Every Thursday, Social Media Strategist Brylee Kaye shares a retro photo for #TBT (aka Throwback Thursday), a popular hashtag campaign on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This content is featured as part of The Box's "60 Years in 60 Days" series in celebration of NYIT's 60th anniversary in 2015.
