SMS/Text Messaging Terms and Conditions
- Personal information obtained as part of SMS consent will not be shared for marketing purposes.
- If you have consented to receive text message communications from New York Tech, that may include appointment reminders, follow-up messages, billing inquiries, and identity verification codes.
- Message frequency varies by service, up to twenty (20) SMS messages per week.
- Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from New York Tech, and to New York Tech from you. If you have any questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- You may opt-in to receive SMS messages in the following ways:
- Future students – during admissions process or by contacting the Admissions Office
- Current students – anytime by contacting the initiating school, department, or business unit
- Faculty/Staff – providing your contact number during onboarding process or by following specific instructions for a particular SMS service (e.g. New York Tech Alerts)
- You can opt-out or cancel an individual SMS service at any time. Reply "STOP" to any SMS message, or contact ITS at 516.686.1188.
- If you are experiencing issues with an SMS messaging program, you can reply "HELP" for more assistance, or visit nyit.edu/its to open a ticket with the ITS Help Desk.
