To NYIT faculty, staff, and students:

The entire NYIT community mourns with those impacted by the senseless and tragic shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh on Saturday. Violence and hatred that target any group of individuals based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, or culture have no place in society.

In addition, we express our deep appreciation to the first responders who put their lives in danger to protect our loved ones against such despicable acts. We are forever grateful for their dedication and bravery.
