Dear New York Tech Community Members,

Twenty years ago, our nation endured an act of terrorism that forever changed our sense of personal well-being and security. The attacks of September 11, 2001, destroyed one of New York's most cherished landmarks and stole thousands of precious, innocent lives. We remember all of those who were lost, including the following New York Tech alumni:

• William Fallon (M.S. '91 – Computer Science)
• Patrick Lyons (B.S. '91 – Business Administration)
• Glen Pettit (B.F.A. '95 – Communication Arts), NYPD Photographer
• Richard Prunty (B.S. '79 – Behavioral Sciences), FDNY Second Battalion Chief

I encourage each of you near and far to take the time to reflect on that grievous day and participate in campus or community events or in local volunteer initiatives through Consultants for the Public Good, as 9/11 is also the National Day of Service.
