Welcome to Spring 2018 Semester
January 22, 2018
Dear NYIT Students,
While I know some of you have already begun your studies this year, I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you to the official start of the spring 2018 semester.
It is truly a great time to be part of the NYIT community as we look forward to several exciting events, including a series of presidential inauguration activities during the week of April 9. I hope you'll join us for our kick-off celebration and lunch, a day of giving and community service, a symposium focusing on block chain technology, and our annual SOURCE event showcasing the incredible creative and scholarly work of NYIT students. Look for more details on these and other inauguration activities soon.
For those of you graduating this year, I look forward to seeing you and your families at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Tuesday, May 22 for our 57th Annual Commencement. I can't wait to celebrate this momentous day and honor your achievements. Our alumni are one of the best ways to measure NYIT's success, and I look forward to hearing many more of your personal and professional achievements in the years to come.
For all of you, I wish you a prosperous, successful, active, engaged, and fruitful spring semester. Good luck to all and go Bears!
Regards,
Hank C. Foley, Ph.D.
President, NYIT
