Student Transition to Microsoft Outlook and Teams

In January 2024, all New York Tech students will be transitioned from Gmail to Outlook Mail, Calendar services, and Teams.

At the same time, all New York Tech students will be required to use Okta Verify Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to log into their New York Tech accounts. This new log-in system is another line of defense in preventing your online accounts from getting hacked.

Prepare for your move to Outlook Mail, Calendaring, and Teams:

Why Microsoft Outlook?

  • Marketable skills! Outlook Mail, Calendar services, and Teams are used by millions of companies worldwide. Make sure you include these skills on your CV!
  • Better security! Your accounts will be secured with multi-factor authentication (MFA) along with the advanced security features found in Microsoft, which means you will be better protected from unauthorized access and other cyber threats.
  • A unified community! New York Tech's faculty and staff are already using Outlook for email and calendaring services. By transitioning students to Microsoft Outlook, collaboration and communication will be much easier!
